I can’t even tell you how much we love the look of this completed kitchen! When we got our hands on this project, the home was an 80s ranch-style home that had not been updated. Ryan did a site visit before our client closed on it, and we worked with her to develop an entirely new layout for the kitchen. (Re-design of existing layouts is one of our strengths, and we have the technology to show you a variety of options before we even begin construction!) We took a few walls down, put a few new beams in, and completely transformed the look and design of the kitchen area!
The homeowner has great style and we enjoyed being a part of the following updates: custom cabinetry and island, open shelving, shiplap ceiling, subway tile backsplash, new plumbing (sink, faucet, etc.), updated electrical for lighting, and picture window above the sink. We framed in the pantry and installed the double-action swing door, which just happens to be one of my favorite features…and I love that the cabinetry goes above the door. We also installed the pocket door that leads to the laundry room!
Other updates outside of the kitchen: we put board and batten on her front porch and installed new front doors. We also installed french doors that open up to the back patio, and hung a big picture window in the living area.
For those of you loving the color scheme that she chose, here are the details: cabinets are Urban Putty, wall color is Alabaster, island stain is Walnut, and the laundry cabinets are Pewter Green (all colors are Sherwin Williams).
